1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BareNOC website, newsletter, early-access software, and hardware reservations (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Ridge Chapel Tech, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms.

2. The Services

BareNOC provides:

• Early-access software — a subscription to our network monitoring appliance software during its early-access phase.
• Hardware reservations — refundable deposits that reserve a spot in line for BareNOC hardware (mini server, 10" network stack, or stack with local LLM).

3. Early-access subscription

• The subscription is billed monthly (currently $29/month) via Stripe.
• You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Early-access software is provided "as is" — features may change, and we make no guarantees about availability or performance during this phase.

4. Hardware reservations & deposits

• Reservation deposits are fully refundable and are credited toward the purchase price of the hardware when you complete your order.
• To request a refund, contact support@ridgechapeltech.com and we will process it promptly.
• Hardware is a pre-order. Shipping is projected for October 2026 but may be delayed by supply or manufacturing issues; we will keep you informed.
• A deposit reserves your place in line; final pricing may differ from the deposit amount.

5. Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing, you agree to Stripe's terms. We are not responsible for payment processing errors on Stripe's side. Sales tax, if applicable, will be added at checkout.

6. Your account

You're responsible for keeping any credentials you use with the Services confidential. The newsletter and reservations currently require only an email address; if we add accounts, you must provide accurate information.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to our systems.
• Resell or redistribute the Services without our written consent.
• Misrepresent your identity or the purpose of your use.

8. Intellectual property

BareNOC and all related software, branding, and content are owned by Ridge Chapel Tech, LLC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. Nothing transfers ownership to you.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Early-access software may contain bugs. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or as required by law, with reasonable notice where practical.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Wayne County, New York.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
